Weight Watchers Offers $50/Month GLP-1 Bridge Program for Medicare Med+ Members
WW•Weight Watchers’ Med+ Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program lets eligible beneficiaries access GLP-1 drugs including Wegovy and Zepbound for $50 monthly from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027. Data show Med+ members using the GLP-1 Success Program lost 29.1% more body weight at 12 months compared to those not engaged.
1. Program Launch and Eligibility
Weight Watchers announced that its Med+ Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program will run from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027, allowing Medicare Part D beneficiaries to obtain GLP-1 medications such as Wegovy, Zepbound, Foundayo and KwikPen for a flat $50 per month. Eligible participants must have a prescription, meet clinical criteria and maintain lifestyle modifications alongside medication.
2. Member Care and Support Features
Beyond prescribing, Weight Watchers assists Med+ members with insurance navigation, paperwork and prior authorizations. The integrated GLP-1 Success Program provides nutrition coaching, medication tracking, refill reminders, expert GLP-1 coaches and tailored strength-building guidance to support sustainable weight management and reduce frailty risk in older adults.
3. Demonstrated Clinical Outcomes
Internal analysis of 3,325 members showed those engaging with the GLP-1 Success Program at least four days per week lost an average 22.2% of body weight at 12 months versus 17.2% for non-engaged members, representing a 29.1% improvement in weight loss. Additionally, 73% of participants reported minimized medication side effects through the program’s behavioral support.
