WeRide Expands Roland-Garros Robobus Service to Night Operations on 2.8 km Route
WRD•WeRide will operate its autonomous Robobus on a 2.8 km, 12-minute route with three stops at Roland-Garros from May 24 to June 7, operating daily with Renault and beti. This marks the third straight year at the French Open, extending WeRide’s European expansion after driverless launches at Zurich Airport and upcoming Furttal robotaxis.
1. Roland-Garros Robobus Service
WeRide will deploy its autonomous Robobus on a 2.8 km route with three stops at Roland-Garros from May 24 to June 7, operating daily from 10:30 am to midnight. In partnership with Renault and beti, this marks the third consecutive year of shuttle service, including second-year night-time operations.
2. European Expansion Momentum
Beyond the French Open, WeRide has expanded its European footprint with regular commercial Robobus service in Belgium, removal of the front-row safety driver at Zurich Airport, a pilot in Barcelona and plans for Furttal robotaxi operations. These developments underscore the company's strategic push into multiple European markets.
