Following the Guangzhou launch, the Robotaxi service will be added to Tencent Maps and gradually extended to other Chinese cities, leveraging WeChat's ecosystem to boost ride frequency and reach a broader user base. WeRide's Robotaxis were seamlessly integrated into Tencent's WeChat Mobility Service mini program on March 12, enabling users in Guangzhou to book and pay for driverless rides without downloading additional apps. As of January 2026, WeRide operated a global Robotaxi fleet of over 1,023 vehicles and aims to exceed 2,600 units by year-end, driving towards large-scale commercialization and per-vehicle profitability.
