WeRide introduced its NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion–powered Robotaxi GXR at GTC 2026 and will begin trial operations in Singapore’s Punggol district on April 1 under its Grab partnership. A Geely Farizon deal will deliver 2,000 GXRs by 2026 at about $40,000 each, and WeRide’s HPC 3.0 reduces system costs by 50%.

1. Robotaxi GXR Showcase at GTC 2026

At NVIDIA GTC 2026, WeRide debuted its Robotaxi GXR powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform and DRIVE AGX Thor system-on-chip, highlighting its readiness for dense, complex urban environments and signaling a major step in its global deployment strategy.

2. Significant Cost Reductions via HPC 3.0

The GXR integrates WeRide’s HPC 3.0 high-performance computing unit to halve autonomous driving suite costs and lower total cost of ownership by standardizing computing power, sensor processing and safety systems, enabling faster fleet scale-up.

3. Grab Partnership and Singapore Trials

Building on its strategic partnership with Grab, WeRide will commence Level 4 trial operations in Singapore’s Punggol district on April 1, aiming to gather real-world data and public insights to refine service reliability across Southeast Asian markets.

4. Geely Farizon Production Agreement

In a mass-production deal, Geely’s Farizon unit will supply 2,000 upgraded GXR vehicles by end of 2026 at roughly $40,000 each, bolstering WeRide’s plan for 2,600 active Robotaxis this year and setting the stage for tens of thousands by 2030.
