West Fraser posted a Q2 net loss of USD 61 million, or USD 0.78 a share, narrowing from a USD 188 million loss in Q1.
Net sales rose 7.5% to USD 1.43 billion versus Q1.
Adjusted EBITDA turns positive; cash flow and operations update
Adjusted EBITDA (non-GAAP) swung to USD 59 million from a USD 66 million loss; lumber delivered USD 41 million, including a USD 13 million duties adjustment.
Cash from operations totaled USD 192 million; operating loan repayments reached USD 148 million, while cash and short-term investments fell to USD 74 million.
Henderson, Texas sawmill output more than doubled from Q1; High Level, Alberta OSB operations were wound down, with a USD 0.32 dividend declared.
