The company has invested over $90,000 in emergency sewer line repairs since acquiring Nitro’s wastewater system, supporting long-term infrastructure resiliency and employee readiness.

West Virginia American Water celebrated the opening of its state-of-the-art training facility in Nitro, featuring modern classroom space and real-world water and wastewater system training environments. The center is equipped to train both new hires and experienced staff on safe system operations and maintenance practices.

3. Infrastructure Investments in Nitro
Since acquiring Nitro’s wastewater system in March, the company has invested more than $90,000 in emergency sewer line repairs on Evergreen Circle, Main Avenue, Washington Avenue and 21st Street. Crews are currently working on a main line repair near Nitro High School to further bolster infrastructure resiliency.
