Western Copper and Gold names Mark E. Smith as board chairman, replacing Raymond Threlkeld

Western Copper and Gold named Mark E. Smith chairman, succeeding Raymond Threlkeld, who will remain a director.
Smith has 45+ years of mining experience, including nearly 25 years leading Vector Engineering, a 500-person firm he co-founded.
He has worked in the Yukon for more than a decade, including on Coffee, Macpass, and Mactung, advising on mine waste and heap leach practices.
Smith recently chaired the Yukon government’s Independent Review Board for the Eagle Mine investigation.
