Western Digital FY26 net income swings to USD 9.42 billion; revenue rises 36% to USD 12.92 billion

Western Digital posted GAAP net income from continuing operations of USD 9.42 billion on revenue of USD 12.92 billion.

• Revenue climbed 36% from fiscal 2025, driven by a 25% rise in exabytes sold and an 8% increase in ASPs per exabyte.
• Operating income rose to USD 4.45 billion, lifting gross margin by 10.1 percentage points to 48.9%.
• Cloud revenue rose 38% to USD 11.49 billion, representing 89% of total revenue.
• The board declared a USD 0.15-per-share cash dividend payable Sept. 17 and repurchased 14,700,000 shares for USD 2.59 billion.
