Western Union and International Money Express filed new notifications for their pending merger, starting a fresh 30-day US antitrust waiting period on October 2, 2026. They requested early termination of the waiting period. The deal would make IMXI a wholly owned unit of Western Union.
2. Remaining clearance
The previous waiting period expired on October 6, 2025, and the parties refiled to complete the deal beyond October 6, 2026. California’s DFPI has suspended its clearance since August 13, 2026.
