WestJet pilots uncovered the anomaly during an entry-into-service validation flight with a Boeing 737 MAX in 2024. A memo to pilots said the Canadian carrier was the first to report it to Boeing with supporting data, after the FAA concluded a Corrective Action Review Board on the issue.
