What to Watch in the Day Ahead - Thursday, September 10
SPY•Earnings on deck
Oracle is expected to report a sharp rise in first-quarter revenue helped by strong demand for its cloud-computing services, thanks to surging enterprise spending on AI. Investors, however, will be focused on the company's capital spending plans, as the company's steep AI investments start to leave a mark on its cash flows.
Adobe is expected to report growth in third-quarter revenue as it expects continued demand for its AI integrated products and tools.
Macy's is expected to post its second-quarter results in a divided economy amid weak demand from cost-conscious consumers even as higher-income shoppers splurge. Investors will look for comments on demand and spending among consumer cohorts, turnaround progress as well as annual forecasts.
