- CBOT corn futures firmed as the U.S. Department of Agriculture lowered its condition ratings for the nation's corn crops in a weekly report on Monday, in line with trade expectations.
- The agency rated 60% of the corn crop in good-to-excellent condition as of Sunday, down 1 percentage point from a week earlier and the lowest for the 33rd week of the calendar year since 2023.
- South Dakota's corn yield prospects are lower than last year and the three-year average, scouts on an annual tour of top U.S. producing states found on Monday, following a hot and dry summer.
- CBOT December corn CZ26 was last up 2-3/4 cents at $4.92-1/4 per bushel.
