1. Wheels Up Names Ben Griffin Brand Ambassador
Wheels Up has strengthened its marketing outreach by appointing PGA Tour professional Ben Griffin as a Brand Ambassador. Griffin, who earned his first PGA Tour card in 2023, recorded three Tour victories and 17 top-25 finishes in 2025, achieving a world ranking of No. 8 and securing a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Drawn by Wheels Up’s flexible membership programs, modernized fleet and its hybrid private-commercial travel model through the Delta Air Lines partnership, Griffin will promote the company’s integrated travel solutions across key tournaments and member events. CEO George Mattson emphasized that this collaboration underscores Wheels Up’s commitment to supporting high-performance athletes with seamless logistics, while Griffin said the service allows him to optimize rest and preparation during a demanding tournament schedule.
2. Wheels Up Sets Record with 14 Consecutive Zero Cancellation Days
In a significant operational milestone, Wheels Up kicked off 2026 with 14 straight days without a single flight cancellation, including six perfect completion days over the December holiday period. The company also achieved a 99 percent on-time completion rate for flights delayed less than three hours—its best performance to date. Executing more than 1,000 flights without cancellation over this stretch reflects enhanced planning, maintenance and real-time decision-making. COO David Holtz noted that disciplined execution across flight operations, scheduling and customer service has set a new internal benchmark, while Mattson added that this reliability boost will reinforce member trust and support sustainable growth as the fleet transformation continues.
