Where Food Comes From posts $24.9M revenue, unveils RaiseWell Certified to counter cattle supply slump
Where Food Comes From Inc posted FY2025 revenue of $24.9M and net income of $1.5M, driven by gains in pork, dairy and egg verifications. Beef-related activity fell as US cattle supply hit a 70-year low, triggering launch of RaiseWell Certified and expansion of sustainable leather and traceability partnerships.
1. Financial performance for FY2025
Where Food Comes From Inc reported $24.9 million in total revenue and $1.5 million in net income for 2025, equating to $0.30 per share. Growth in new customer wins underpinned steady profitability despite sector headwinds.
2. Beef-related verification decline
US herd sizes have shrunk to a 70-year low due to drought and rising production costs, leading ranchers to cut beef-related verification investments. Record-high beef prices further dampened tag sales and verification activity in the core segment.
3. Expansion of non-beef services
Verifications for pork, dairy and egg operations climbed year over year, while certifications for organic, non-GMO, gluten-free and upcycled products showed marked gains. These non-beef revenue streams helped offset declines in the beef segment.
4. Strategic partnerships and new certifications
The company launched its RaiseWell Certified standard for animal care and supply chain traceability, which has been adopted by a major retailer. Collaborations with Pangaea, Walmart and Prime Pursuits aim to introduce Care certified sustainable leather to automotive brands and enhance long-term growth potential.
