White House withdraws aviation nominee

WASHINGTON, Sept 17 (Reuters) - The White House on Thursday withdrew the nomination of former Delta Air Lines pilot Jeffrey Anderson to serve as U.S. ambassador to the International Civil Aviation Organization after being opposed by a major airline pilots' union.

Anderson was nominated in July 2025 but never had a hearing.
