1. Quarterly results
Wingstop said fiscal third-quarter revenue rose 5.3% year over year, driven in part by net new franchise development and higher sales at company-owned restaurants following openings and acquisitions. Domestic same-store sales fell 5.4% as transaction volumes declined. Adjusted net income and adjusted EPS each declined 3.5% from a year earlier.
2. 2026 outlook
The company expects domestic same-store sales to decline 6.5% to 7% in 2026 and forecasts 440 to 450 global net new units, or 14.4% to 14.7% growth. It expects 2026 SG&A expenses of $138 million to $140 million, including $3 million in restructuring charges. Higher food, packaging, rent and labor expenses weighed on margins, especially at acquired restaurants.
