WISeKey Space Unit Rebrands and Deploys 21 LEO Satellites for Quantum-Secure Services

WKEYWKEY

WISeKey’s WISeSat.Space subsidiary has rebranded as WISE Space Advanced Technologies, leveraging 21 launched LEO satellites (14 active) and SEALSQ’s post-quantum payloads to develop quantum-secure communications. The unit plans to transition to 6U satellite platforms and support SEALSQ’s QSOC roadmap for QKD, QRNG, and post-quantum identity services.

1. Rebranding to WISE Space Advanced Technologies

WISeSat.Space has formally adopted the name WISE Space Advanced Technologies to position itself as a pure-play European quantum-secure space operator focused on sovereign IoT connectivity, post-quantum services and support for SEALSQ’s QSOC roadmap.

2. Expanded Satellite Infrastructure

Since initiating secure communications pilots in 2021, the unit has embedded SEALSQ payloads into 21 LEO satellites (14 currently active), including 3U platforms launched by SpaceX in 2025, and maintains ground-segment tests in Switzerland and Spain.

3. Integration with SEALSQ and QSOC Roadmap

The subsidiary is integrating SEALSQ’s post-quantum semiconductors, Quantum RootKey modules and cryptographic elements to enable future QKD, QRNG and post-quantum identity services as part of the planned Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud.

4. Future 6U Satellite Constellation Plans

WISeSat plans to transition to 6U satellite platforms to support a scalable constellation model, drive new revenue streams in secure data services and edge processing, and underpin SEALSQ’s future orbital service offerings.
