WISeKey’s WISeSat.Space subsidiary joined FOSSA Systems’ latest Series B financing, reinforcing a four-year partnership to support secure IoT communications via Low Earth Orbit satellites. The investment backs WISeSat’s phase of scalable, post-quantum-ready satellite infrastructure, expanding access to eight operational LEO satellites and advancing its European secure orbital communications roadmap.
WISeSat.Space contributed to FOSSA Systems’ recent Series B financing round, marking its fourth year of collaboration and reinforcing investment in small-satellite development for secure IoT communications from Low Earth Orbit.
Since 2021, WISeSat and FOSSA have launched or accessed 25 LEO satellites, with eight currently operational, building flight heritage and technical validation that underpin WISeSat’s transition to larger and more capable satellite infrastructure.
The funding supports WISeSat’s scalable, post-quantum-ready orbital and ground-segment capabilities, aligning with Europe’s emphasis on sovereign, resilient communications layers for data security, defence readiness and critical infrastructure protection.
WISeSat’s satellite capacity will integrate with WISeKey’s Root of Trust and SEALSQ’s post-quantum semiconductor initiatives, laying groundwork for future quantum key distribution, quantum random number generation and secure IoT connectivity services.
