WiseTech says ocean freight reliability risk worsens as on-time performance drops to 9.9%
WiseTech said monthly ocean freight on-time performance fell to 9.9% in September from 22.9% in August, while the latest weekly result improved to 11.5%. Delays of eight days or more accounted for 45.5% of volume in the latest week.
1. Freight reliability weakens
WiseTech’s October Ocean Freight Risk Outlook flagged worsening service reliability despite capacity remaining above forecast demand. Booking security risk stayed below its historical average, while planned transit times of 37.8 to 39.9 days remained below the 40.7-day baseline.
