Workhorse received a purchase order for 100 W56 fully electric step vans from California-based Gateway Fleets under a lease financing model.
2. Vehicle Specifications
Each W56 offers a 210 kWh battery, 150-mile range, 1,000 cubic feet of cargo space and 10,000 lb payload in a 178" wheelbase configuration.
3. Production and Deployment
Vans will be produced at Workhorse's Union City, Indiana plant, which can yield over 5,000 units annually, with initial deployments scheduled for July 2026 ahead of peak season.
