Workhorse Wins 100-EV Step Van Order, Doubling Purolator Fleet

Workhorse secured a 100-unit purchase order for fully-electric step vans from Canadian logistics provider Purolator, doubling its step van fleet and building on a late-2025 merger with Motiv. The vehicles will be delivered throughout 2026 from Workhorse’s Union City facility, which can produce over 5,000 units annually.

Workhorse received a purchase order for 100 fully-electric step vans from Canadian logistics provider Purolator, marking the fourth order since its late-2025 merger with Motiv. This shipment will double the number of Workhorse vans in Purolator’s fleet, reinforcing their commitment to fleet electrification.

2. Delivery Schedule and Production Capacity

The 100 step vans are slated for delivery throughout 2026, leveraging capacity at Workhorse’s Union City, Indiana, facility. That plant is capable of producing more than 5,000 vehicles per year on a single operating shift, positioning the company to meet growing order volumes.

3. Manufacturing Track Record and Clients

To date, Workhorse has developed, assembled and supported over 1,100 electric vehicles that have logged more than 20 million miles. Its customer base includes major North American fleets such as Purolator, Vestis and Cintas, underscoring its growing footprint in medium-duty electric trucks.
