XCF Global’s Reno Facility Begins Catalyst Activation for 38M Gallon Renewable Diesel
SAFX•XCF Global’s New Rise Renewables Reno facility has entered catalyst activation and reformer startup, progressing toward initial renewable diesel output following process catalyst loading earlier this month. The 38 million gallon-per-year plant will later shift into sustainable aviation fuel production, aligning with XCF’s domestic low-carbon fuel expansion strategy.
1. Commissioning Sequence Advances
XCF Global has completed catalyst loading at its New Rise Renewables Reno plant and is now progressing through reformer startup, system validation, chemical staging and hydrotreater readiness checks. These sequential steps are designed to ensure safe commissioning and pave the way for the first batch of renewable diesel.
2. Strategic Capacity and SAF Transition
The Reno facility, with a permitted nameplate capacity of 38 million gallons per year, will initially produce renewable diesel before transitioning to sustainable aviation fuel. This phased ramp-up supports XCF Global’s long-term goal of expanding domestic low-carbon fuel supply and SAF availability in North America.
