Xeriant wins U.S. patent for multilayer fire-resistant composite technology
XERI•Layered design aims to improve fire resistance and cost efficiency
Xeriant said the layered design concentrates non-toxic fire retardants in outer layers, with the goal of improving cost efficiency versus conventional panels.
The company said it is also pursuing international protection through a Patent Cooperation Treaty application, along with continuation filings.
Patent covers multilayer fire-resistant composite and manufacturing method
Xeriant said it has received U.S. Patent No. 12,679,047 for a multilayer fire-resistant polymer composite and its manufacturing method.
The company said the patent covers technology used in NEXBOARD, an eco-friendly construction panel made from recycled plastic and fiber waste.
