Nio initiated a recall of 246,229 ES8, ES6 and EC6 SUVs built from March 2018 to January 2023 to address software-related instrument cluster and central screen blackouts. 2. U.S.-China Trade Détente Benefits XPeng

Extended trade détente between China and the U.S. maintained 31% EV import tariffs and suspended rare earth export controls through November, alleviating cost pressures on XPeng’s supply chain. This stability allows XPeng to manage production schedules and pricing with greater certainty.

XPeng has formed a global collaboration with Ant Internationals’ Antom platform to integrate seamless digital payments across its EV charging network. The partnership will enable faster transactions, support multiple currencies and mobile wallets, and roll out in key markets this quarter.
