Xpeng robotics unit raises first funding round

BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Reuters) - China's Xpeng said on Monday its robotics business raised over $900 million in its first funding round, led by IDG and Gaorong Ventures and with Tencent 0700.HK and Alibaba 9988.HK as strategic investors.

Xpeng's robotics business's valuation would exceed $6.3 billion after the funding round, the company said in a statement.
