Xperi Secures Mercedes-Benz AutoStage Video Deal as TiVo OS Gains Crunchyroll, NBA Partnerships

XPERXPER

Xperi’s DTS AutoStage Video Service Powered by TiVo has been adopted by five OEMs—including three in the past year—and will debut on upcoming Mercedes-Benz models alongside its HD Radio and immersive audio suite. At CES 2026 TiVo OS introduced features and partnerships with Crunchyroll plus NBA app on 2K–4K TVs.

1. Rapid Uptake of DTS AutoStage Video Service

Xperi has secured five original equipment manufacturers for its DTS AutoStage Video Service Powered by TiVo, with three new automaker agreements signed over the last 12 months. This brings connected-video availability to key regions in North America, Europe and Asia, reinforcing Xperi’s position as a leading provider of in-car entertainment. The accelerating adoption trajectory follows the initial rollout in 2021 and underpins a potential multi-million dollar revenue stream as vehicle production ramps.

2. Mercedes-Benz Selects Full Connected Car Suite

In its most significant deal to date, Mercedes-Benz has integrated the entire Xperi connected car portfolio—including HD Radio, DTS AutoStage Audio, DTS:X immersive audio and the newly added video service—into upcoming models. Xperi has collaborated with Mercedes-Benz since 2020 on radio metadata and platform integration, and this expanded scope is expected to drive recurring licensing fees over the next five years, backed by an estimated annual production volume exceeding 200,000 vehicles.

3. CES 2026 Debut and Investor Implications

Xperi will showcase the Mercedes-Benz DTS AutoStage Video Service at CES 2026 (January 6-9, West Hall, Booth 4041), offering live demonstrations to prospective OEM partners and media. Management expects this high-visibility presentation to catalyze further design wins, with a target of securing two additional automakers by mid-2026. For investors, the $30 million R&D investment in the AutoStage platform since 2022 is poised to yield incremental licensing revenue and strengthen the company’s margin profile in its automotive segment.
