York Space Systems expanded its prime integration work into geostationary orbit for the U.S. Space Force’s Tetra 3 and 4 space domain awareness demonstrations. The spacecraft development integrates sensors for resident space object tracking and rendezvous and proximity operations, including long-wave infrared imaging, LiDAR ranging to 20 kilometers and a GPS side-lobe receiver. A propulsion system added late in design required minor harness and software changes, with no structural, thermal or power impacts.
