1. Alphabet Strengthens Long-Term Outlook with AI-Driven Cloud Momentum

Alphabet’s cloud segment delivered 34% year-over-year revenue growth in Q4 2025, outpacing the company’s overall revenue expansion. Powered by the Gemini AI model and a massive global user base exceeding 3 billion monthly active users across Search, YouTube and Maps, Google Cloud captured additional market share from hyperscale competitors. Street analysts forecast 15% compound annual earnings growth for Alphabet through 2028, driven by continued enterprise adoption of AI tools, advertising strength and healthy free cash flow that supports ongoing R&D investment. With total revenue reaching $335 billion in 2025 and operating margins near 28%, Alphabet remains positioned as a core long-term investment in AI infrastructure and digital advertising.

2. Alphabet Secures 1.17 GW of Carbon-Free Power in $2.4 B Clearway Agreements

Through its corporate procurement arm, Alphabet signed three 20-year power purchase agreements with Clearway Energy covering 1.17 gigawatts of solar and wind capacity across Missouri, Texas and West Virginia. Valued at over $2.4 billion, these PPAs expand Google’s existing carbon-free portfolio to 1.24 GW and align with its goal of operating on 24/7 carbon-free energy by 2030. Construction on more than 1 GW of capacity will commence in 2026, with projects slated to begin commercial operations in 2027 and 2028. The deals lock in fixed pricing and hedge against rising wholesale power costs, while supporting Alphabet’s data centers and reducing Scope 2 emissions by an estimated 4 million metric tons of CO₂ annually.
