ZLAB•Zai Lab said its trial of zocilurtatug pelitecan showed a 40% response rate in previously treated extrapulmonary neuroendocrine cancers. Updated results are due November 6, 2026, and the company expects topline data from its expansion study in 2027.
1. Trial results and plans
Zai Lab’s Phase 1b/2 trial showed durable tumor responses to zocilurtatug pelitecan in previously treated advanced extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas, with a 40% response rate. The company said the treatment had a manageable safety profile, with few treatment-related discontinuations and no treatment-related deaths.
2. Next steps
Updated results are scheduled for presentation November 6, 2026, at the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society symposium in Las Vegas. Zai Lab plans to pursue potential accelerated approval based on its single-arm expansion study, with topline data expected in 2027, and expects a global Phase 3 trial of the drug as first-line maintenance monotherapy to begin that year.
