Zeekr, BYD and MG rank among top four new EVs by Swiss buyer inquiries, SMG finds
XLY•Tesla models led Swiss electric-car purchase inquiries from January to September 2026. Zeekr’s 7X ranked second among new EVs, BYD’s Sealion 7 inquiries rose 164.4% year over year, and the MG4 ranked fourth.
1. Swiss EV inquiries
Tesla’s Model 3 accounted for 11.1% of inquiries across new and used electric cars on AutoScout24 from January to September 2026, while the Model Y accounted for 7.9%. Among new EVs, Zeekr’s 7X ranked second despite placing 18th in active listings. BYD Sealion 7 inquiries rose 164.4% year over year as active new-car listings increased 204.2%; the MG4 ranked fourth, with 3.7% of inquiries.
