ZenaDrone 1000, IQ Square, IQ Nano Advance to DoD Blue UAS Cybersecurity Phase
ZenaTech’s ZenaDrone 1000, IQ Square and IQ Nano have entered the cybersecurity phase of the U.S. Department of Defense’s accelerated Green-to-Blue certification pathway for NDAA-compliant procurement. All three platforms completed hardware bill of materials submission and supply-chain compliance documentation under AUVSI’s streamlined framework ahead of penetration testing.
1. Certification Progress
ZenaTech’s ZenaDrone 1000, IQ Square and IQ Nano have completed phases one and two of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International’s Green-to-Blue framework, including hardware bill of materials onboarding and NDAA supply-chain documentation. All three platforms are now in phase three—cybersecurity validation—where third-party penetration testing will assess system resilience and encryption integrity before final Defense Contract Management Agency review.
2. Defense Market Opportunities
Achieving Blue UAS certification would render the platforms eligible for direct procurement by U.S. defense agencies, federal departments and allied governments under the National Defense Authorization Act. ZenaTech aims to capture high-growth demand for secure autonomous systems across intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, logistics and asymmetric warfare applications.
3. Platform Specifications
The ZenaDrone 1000 is a medium-sized VTOL drone capable of lifting 40 kg with proprietary Drone Net secure communications, tested for ISR and critical cargo delivery. The IQ Nano is a compact indoor drone for GPS-denied environments with obstacle avoidance and swarm capabilities, while the IQ Square is a larger VTOL platform designed for outdoor inspections, surveys and defense reconnaissance tasks.
