The analysis finds chocolate brown bedrooms can add $2,277 to a home’s offer price, while sage green ranks in the top tier across all rooms, contributing more than $1,035 in bedrooms and nearly $500 in living rooms. Pale blue and charcoal gray also boost living room offers by $1,723 and $1,509 respectively.

Ochre yellow emerges as the single worst paint choice, shaving $18,164 off aggregate offer prices and cutting kitchen offers by $6,630. Baths painted fire-hydrant red may lose nearly $8,000, and pale pink can reduce kitchen and bathroom offers by up to $4,201 and $6,013 respectively.
