Zimmer Biomet Appoints Surgeon Jonathan Vigdorchik to Head AI, Robotics and Medical Affairs
Zimmer Biomet named Dr. Jonathan M. Vigdorchik as Chief Science, Technology and Medical Affairs Officer effective April 14 to lead its global AI, robotics, smart implants and data portfolio. He also will oversee Medical Education and the Global Advisory Board and report directly to CEO Ivan Tornos.

Zimmer Biomet appointed Dr. Jonathan M. Vigdorchik as Chief Science, Technology and Medical Affairs Officer effective April 14, reporting to CEO Ivan Tornos and building on his previous advisory role.

In his new capacity, Vigdorchik will lead the global strategy, delivery and management of Zimmer Biomet’s AI, robotics, smart implants and data portfolio, while overseeing Medical Education initiatives and the Global Advisory Board.
3. Professional Background
Vigdorchik is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery, previously served as Chief Medical Technology Advisor for Zimmer Biomet’s Adult Reconstruction and Hip Implants, and holds academic leadership roles at Weill Cornell Medical College.
