Zumiez Q2 FY26 net loss widens to USD 2.7 million; net sales fall 2.5% to USD 209 million

Zumiez posted a net loss of $2.7 million for the quarter ended Aug. 1, 2026, widening from a $1 million loss.
Net sales fell 2.5% to $209 million, pressured by a 2.1% comparable-sales decline and a net 16-store reduction.
Gross margin slipped 0.2 percentage points to 35.3% on store-occupancy deleverage, partly offset by tariff refunds.
Operating loss was $1.3 million, swinging from operating profit of $0.2 million.
First-half performance
For the first six months, net loss widened to $16 million, while net sales rose 0.9% to $402.3 million.
