Among agencies moving AI into production, 47% use AI for workforce planning and HR operations, 45% for investigations and compliance, 44% for procurement and contract management, 43% for grants management, 42% for cybersecurity and threat detection, and 41% for citizen service delivery.
3. Governance and Investment Challenges
Respondents prioritize data privacy and security governance (46%), legal compliance (45%), and human oversight (44%). Fourteen percent are reevaluating AI investments due to budget or staffing concerns, while 12% cite lack of ROI as a reassessment driver.
4. Future Priorities for AI Adoption
Agencies plan to invest in AI initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency (40%), automating complex workflows (38%), enhancing decision-making with data insights (37%), and ensuring compliance and risk reduction (35%), indicating sustained demand for AI platforms.
