ABM joint venture wins US Army contract for White Sands microgrid
ABM•ABM’s RavenVolt joint venture with AACON General Contractors won a construction contract to build a microgrid at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
1. Microgrid contract
ABM’s RavenVolt joint venture with AACON General Contractors won a construction contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District. The project will build a microgrid at White Sands Missile Range under the Defense Department’s energy resilience program.
2. Power system
Solar power, battery storage and backup generation are intended to sustain mission-critical operations during grid outages and other disruptions.
