Accenture and Piraeus have inaugurated a dedicated AI Hub in Athens designed to drive end-to-end AI transformation across operations, customer service, risk management and compliance. The Hub integrates resources from Accenture’s Data & AI Center of Excellence and leverages Anthropic’s AI models to centralize development and scaling of advanced banking applications.

The Hub will utilize Anthropic’s Claude language models and Accenture’s proprietary AI tools to develop secure, human-centric solutions that support autonomous decision-making and streamline complex workflows. This technological framework is anchored in ethical AI principles and regulatory compliance to ensure transparency and trust in critical banking processes.

The partnership includes structured recruitment drives and Udacity-powered training programs aimed at upskilling Piraeus’ workforce in data science, AI ethics and solution development. By embedding AI skills and best practices across teams, both organizations seek to build sustainable, in-house capabilities and attract specialized talent to the Greek banking sector.

The AI Hub reinforces Piraeus’ ambition to modernize its €91 billion asset base through digital innovation while expanding Accenture’s footprint in financial services AI deployments. This initiative is expected to strengthen both companies’ competitive positions in European banking technology and pave the way for future AI-driven growth projects.
