Acumen Pharmaceuticals posts smaller than expected Q3 loss
ABOS•Acumen Pharmaceuticals reported a Q3 net loss of $25.37 million, narrower than the $30.32 million consensus estimate, and an operating loss of $25.81 million versus an estimated $30.68 million. The company expects its cash to support operations into early 2027.
1. Quarterly results
Acumen Pharmaceuticals reported Q3 net and operating losses below analyst estimates. Research and development expenses declined year over year, mainly because of lower manufacturing, materials and CRO costs for the ALTITUDE-AD trial; increased spending on the EBD program partially offset those savings. General and administrative expenses rose slightly.
2. Company outlook
The company expects topline results from its ALTITUDE-AD Phase 2 study in November 2026 and targets an IND filing for its EBD program lead candidate in mid-2027. It expects its cash balance to support operations into early 2027.
