Adtran to Showcase 1 pJ/bit 800G Optics and Quantum-Safe Transport at OFC 2026

ADTNADTN

At OFC 2026 in Los Angeles from March 15 to 19, Adtran will debut its LiteWave800 800Gbit/s pluggable optics operating at just 1 pJ/bit, REAL AI automation platform, quantum-safe FSP 3000 S-Flex transport, and multi-vendor ZR+ coherent pluggables. The company will also highlight 50G PON access, edge routing technologies, and sustainability initiatives like SUSTAINET-Advance and the OTDS testbed to address energy efficiency, data sovereignty and scalable AI infrastructure.

1. OFC 2026 Showcase

Adtran will present its latest optical innovations at OFC 2026 in Los Angeles from March 15 to 19 at booth 1001, offering hands-on demos and speaking sessions. The display will cover intra-data center, transport and access network solutions designed for AI-driven environments.

2. Ultra-Low-Power 800G Optics

The LiteWave800 pluggable optics deliver 800 Gbit/s connectivity at just 1 pJ per bit, setting a new benchmark for power efficiency and thermal management in dense AI data center fabrics. This technology aims to reduce energy costs and enable higher port densities without increasing cooling requirements.

3. AI-Driven Automation and Quantum-Safe Transport

REAL AI will be showcased, demonstrating explainable, AI-driven network automation that accelerates issue resolution and enhances visibility. The FSP 3000 S-Flex platform will highlight quantum-safe optical transport for mission-critical networks, with in-service monitoring via ALM fiber assurance to detect physical intrusions.

4. Open Networking, Access Evolution and Sustainability

Adtran will emphasize open, multi-vendor support with ZR+ coherent pluggables, C- and L-band line systems and the Mosaic Network Controller. Additional highlights include 50G PON and edge routing solutions for AI-ready access, plus SUSTAINET-Advance and OTDS initiatives targeting sustainable, sovereign optical infrastructure.
