Advansor Unveils 5MW-Per-Unit SteelXL Heat Pump With 50MW Capacity

DOVDOV

Dover's subsidiary Advansor launched the SteelXL, a CO2 heat pump offering 5MW units and up to 50MW capacity, producing hot water at 203°F with inlet temperatures up to 140°F. It delivers COP up to 4.0, 3MW cooling capacity and modular options, positioning Dover for expanded industrial HVAC and sustainability compliance.

1. Product Launch and Market Positioning

Advansor, under Dover Food Retail, introduced the SteelXL Heat Pump to target food processing, district heating and large commercial HVAC markets. The launch underscores Dover’s push into high-capacity, energy-efficient heating solutions designed to meet tightening sustainability regulations.

2. Technical Specifications

Each SteelXL unit provides 5MW capacity, with systems scalable to 50MW. It can use air or water sources to deliver hot water up to 203°F (inlet up to 140°F), operate from 6°F to 113°F ambient and offer 3MW cooling (853TR), achieving a coefficient of performance up to 4.0.

3. Strategic Impact for Dover

By integrating ejectors, permanent magnet motors and variable speed drives, SteelXL supports seamless retrofit into existing piping. This positions Dover to capture growing demand for low-carbon industrial HVAC, bolstering long-term revenue potential and regulatory compliance across global markets.
