AEHRAEHR

Aehr Test Systems received over $5.5 million in Sonoma AI diagnostic system orders from leading AI firms, exceeding prior-quarter Sonoma revenue. In fiscal Q2 net revenue fell 27% YoY to $9.9M and GAAP net loss reached $1.3M, while management reinstated H2 revenue guidance of $25M–$30M with a $0.05–$0.09 non-GAAP loss.

1. Company Secures $5.5 Million in AI Diagnostic Orders

Aehr Test Systems reported that during its current fiscal third quarter to date it has booked over $5.5 million in orders for its Sonoma AI processor diagnostic systems. These orders, placed by multiple leading-edge AI companies and a premier Bay Area lab, already exceed the total Sonoma system bookings recorded in the entire previous quarter. Management highlighted that demand from the artificial intelligence sector is a growing revenue driver as customers seek high-volume testing solutions for next-generation processor chips.

2. Second-Quarter Revenue Drops and Net Loss Reported

In its fiscal second quarter, Aehr Test Systems posted net revenue of $9.9 million, down 27% from $13.5 million in the year-ago period. Gross margin contracted to 36.2% due to lower consumables sales and continued R&D investments. The company recorded a GAAP net loss of $1.3 million, or $0.04 per share, reversing a profit of $700,000 in the prior-year quarter. Volume of system shipments remained subdued as customers delayed projects pending broader AI infrastructure rollouts.

3. Guidance Reinstated with Ambitious Second-Half Targets

After suspending its projections last summer, Aehr reinstated its financial guidance for the second half of fiscal 2026, forecasting revenue between $25 million and $30 million and a non-GAAP net loss of $0.05 to $0.09 per share. Management also disclosed expectations for second-half bookings of $60 million to $80 million, driven primarily by further AI diagnostic system deployments and expansion into memory chip test products. Investors will be watching to see if follow-through orders validate this outlook and drive a return to sustained profitability.
