The Wraith measures just 1.2 meters in length and weighs 18 kilograms, yet delivers sustained thrust of up to 20 newtons and speeds of 3 knots. Its modular payload bay supports up to 5 kilograms, accommodating high-definition cameras, acoustic sensors and environmental probes. Rated for depths of 300 meters, the system features dual lithium-ion packs providing six hours of continuous operation and advanced maneuvering thrusters for precise station-keeping in strong currents.

In the most recent trading session, AeroVironment shares advanced by 1.6%, outpacing the 0.8% gain recorded by the S&P 500 Index. Volume reached 450,000 shares, 25% above its 30-day average, signaling elevated investor interest. Analysts attribute the uptick to growing defense allocations and positive feedback on the Wraith launch, with buy ratings rising from four to six within leading equity research firms over the past month.

Over the past 30 days, AeroVironment’s share performance has surged by 55.1%, topping its aerospace and defense peers. The rally follows two significant contract awards: a $12 million follow-on order from a NATO member for Tactical Missile Systems and a $9.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense for advanced autonomy research.
