AIG names John Rice board chair as Peter Zaffino steps down Sept. 15, 2026

Peter Zaffino will step down as executive chair, exit the board on Sept. 15, 2026, and shift to senior advisor.

John Rice will become board chair on Sept. 15, 2026, replacing Zaffino.

Rice has been lead independent director since January 2023 and joined the board in March 2022.

Rice previously led GE’s Global Growth Organization as president and CEO, and later retired as GE vice chairman in 2018.
