AIG Appoints Former Aon Executive Eric Andersen as CEO on June 1

Andersen spent almost 30 years at Aon, serving as president and CEO of Aon Benfield and CEO of Aon Risk Solutions and leading global programmes to improve operational efficiency and boost capitalisation.

Zaffino led AIG since March 2021, overseeing the sale of non-core operations, talent development initiatives and technology upgrades, and will continue to guide strategic priorities as executive chair.

AIG plans to discuss the CEO transition and first-quarter 2026 results on May 1, and earlier in January named Adam Clifford as CEO of international commercial insurance responsible for global underwriting and distribution.
