Air Products to Exhibit Hydrogen, Carbon Capture Solutions and Donate up to $15K at AISTech2026

Air Products will exhibit oxy-fuel, hydrogen and carbon capture solutions plus a Smart Technology platform for steel production at AISTech2026, May 4-7 in Pittsburgh. Air Products Foundation will donate $100 per registered visitor, up to $15,000 total, to the AIST Foundation’s steel industry initiatives.

1. AISTech2026 Showcase

Air Products will staff booth #1336 from May 4 to 7 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, displaying its full suite of on-site gas supply offerings and technology solutions tailored for iron and steel producers.

2. Donation Initiative

The Air Products Foundation has pledged to contribute $100 for each registered attendee who visits the booth, capping its total donation at $15,000 to support the AIST Foundation’s efforts to attract young engineers to the steel industry.

3. Technology Portfolio Highlights

Featured technologies include oxy-fuel combustion systems, hydrogen supply options, carbon capture processes and the Smart Technology platform, which uses data analytics to optimize gas usage and streamline process planning for metal producers.

4. DRI Presentation Details

On May 4 at 3 p.m., Commercial Technology Manager Dr. Anup Sane will present two combustion-based methods for enhancing direct reduced iron use: preheating cold DRI and melting DRI into hot metal, aimed at boosting electric steelmaking efficiency.
