Airbus handed over 74 jets to 45 customers in October, just below the 78 delivered in the same month a year earlier. The company sold 202 planes during the month, bringing gross orders so far this year to 1,376; two cancellations brought cancellations for the period to 71.
Airbus needs to deliver roughly 249 aircraft by the end of 2026 to reach its goal of 870. CEO Guillaume Faury said the company delivered four A330 wide-body jets and 39 A321neo single-aisle jets in October, and that recently discovered quality flaws on some of those models had been contained.
