Airbus holds annual targets, bets on year-end delivery surge
Airbus maintained its target of delivering around 870 aircraft this year and kept production plans unchanged. Third-quarter adjusted operating profit was €1.77 billion, while revenue fell 2% to €17.47 billion.
1. Targets unchanged
Airbus maintained its full-year forecasts and production plans after reporting mixed third-quarter earnings. It still aims to deliver around 870 aircraft this year, which would be its highest tally ever, and will need a record fourth quarter to reach that target.
2. Earnings and deliveries
Adjusted operating profit was €1.77 billion in the three months to the end of September, broadly matching the company-compiled analyst estimate. Revenue fell 2% to €17.47 billion, below the €17.91 billion estimate. Free cash flow before customer financing was negative €1.27 billion since January, reflecting higher inventories as Airbus prepared for stronger year-end deliveries and ramped up production. Airbus had delivered 547 aircraft so far in 2026, compared with Boeing's 475.
