Airbus says Biman Bangladesh confirms order for 10 jets
Biman Bangladesh Airlines ordered 10 Airbus jets: four A350-900s and six A231neo jets. The airline ordered 11 Boeing aircraft last month.
1. Airbus order confirmed
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has ordered 10 Airbus jets, the European planemaker said. The order includes four long-haul A350-900s and six medium-haul A231neo jets.
2. Fleet and prior order
The order had been expected after Biman recently ordered 11 Boeing aircraft, including 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX jets. Biman’s fleet of 19 aircraft consists mainly of Boeing jets and Dash-8 turboprops, and serves slightly more than 20% of Bangladesh’s air passengers, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat said.
