HSBC•A HSBC study found that 63% of US entrepreneurs expect AI to increase headcount within two years, while 12% expect a decline; 59% plan to invest 11%–30% of turnover in AI over the next 12 months.

The study found that 94% of US entrepreneurs have made or plan operational changes tied to AI within 12 months. Beyond hiring expectations, respondents cited margin improvement (53%), productivity gains (42%) and competitive advantage (41%) as primary AI uses; top risks were data privacy and security (48%), implementation cost (43%) and legacy-system integration (36%).
