Airbus stages maiden flight of new A350F freighter
Airbus launched the maiden flight of its delayed A350F freighter, beginning a four-hour flight and nine months of certification trials ahead of planned service entry in 2027.
1. Flight trials begin
The windowless A350F took off for a four-hour maiden flight on Tuesday. Airbus said the flight marks the start of nine months of certification trials before the freighter is expected to enter service in 2027 and compete with Boeing’s 777 series.
